We give winter and summer tours.

There was never a deposit requirement in the past. Unfortunately, due to several last-minute cancellations, we require a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total cost when booking a tour. The tour-date can not be set until we receive the deposit. For deposits, we only accept three forms of payment, either by cash, credit card, or using Venmo.

 

Our Summer tours are typically just kennel tours where we conduct meet and greet with the dogs.  We explain how the sled is built and works, the dog truck which is used for transporting them, and learn about the history of the Iditarod. We also explain the proper care of the dogs used in dog sledding. The temperature has to be below 50 degrees for a ride with the dogs at a cost of $75 per person which includes a tour of the kennel. Kennel tours alone are $25 per person.

 

 

For our Winter tours we start out with a kennel tour, talk about the history of dog-sledding, give instruction on how to handle the team and sled on a run. We then head out on an 8-10 mile run with the instructor/team--subject to change without notice (at our discretion) due to any one of the following: inclement weather, guest(s) wearing improper attire, guest(s) arriving late, or of other unforeseen reasons beyond our control. On our return we snack, give water to the kids and put them back in the yard in their respective dog houses. We then head over to the heated hangar for some much needed hot chocolate and cookies as we go over the pictures taken during the run. Total time spent is approximately 3-4 hours.

Pricing for our winter tours are $200/person and there is no age limit. Our tours are all private individual tours. For example: for 2 people you are the only 2 scheduled for that tour. So everyone young and old can enjoy an adventure sure to provide memories that will last a lifetime!!
