Husky Haven Sled Dogs was established in 1999 with 2 Samoyeds and a dream to run Iditarod. In 2009 that dream came true as we were the first NJ team to qualify, enter, and run the Iditarod Sled Dog Race in Alaska. In 2014 we really wanted to live where there was more snow and colder temperatures and the upper peninsula of Michigan was one of our favorite places as we had previously trained here for our Iditarod run. We moved our 4 legged kids and started giving dog sledding tours in addition to training for races. Our tours are with a double driver sled so our guests get to drive with a another person explaining what to do and what to look for. The area boasts miles of picturesque trails, complete with waterfalls and an abundance of wildlife. Come meet all of our lovable Alaskan Huskies. We have such a good time with lots of picture taking and hot chocolate at the end of the tour. We are a small local operation that is not in a hurry to get rid of you for the next tour.
